We have already intimated our Members about our proposal to organize a innovative programmes for the benefit of trade, industry and society. It is also proposed to conduct these programmes jointly with leading newspapers both English and Tamil.
We are pleased to inform our Members that The Hindu leading English daily has given their concurrence to be the co-branding association. Glow Coimbatore - is an initiative of The Hindu and The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore. The objective is to provide a forum for citizens of Coimbatore, to come face to face with the district Administration and Government bodies to present their views on smooth and purposeful growth of Coimbatore. This forum is to meet frequently and by doing so, the city’s progress can be directed on a bright vibrant path through Citizen Government participation. The result envisaged is rapid strides in all areas to benefit Coimbatore.
The first of these events is being organized with the Director of Town and Country Planning, Shri Pankaj Kumar Bansal IAS and District Collector and Chairman Local Planning Authority, Dr. P. Umanath IAS. The topic is "Planned Growth of Coimbatore". This Interface session will be held at 6.00 pm on Friday the 7th January 2011 at Sarojini Nataraj Auditorium in Baldevdas Kikani Mandir High School, Coimbatore. This programme is open to residents, representatives of residential associations, city planners, property developers, civil engineers and architects.
