We wish to inform our Members that the Tamil Nadu Government has amended Tamil Nadu Value Added Tax Act, 2006 (Tamil Nadu Act 32 of 2006) with regard to increasing the VAT for certain items from 4 to 5%, 12.5 to 14.5%.
The G.O.Ms.No.76 dt. 11th July 2011 issued by the Commercial Taxes and Registration (B1) Department of Tamil Nadu Government containing the amendments detail is forwarded herewith for favour of information of Members. All these amendments come into force w.e.f. 12th July 2011.
